ROLE

Producer || 2D Artist || Programmer || QA Tester

DESCRIPTION

A murder mystery set in the 1920s in America. A spirit medium is the player character and representations of the Seven Deadly Sins are the main NPC characters. There is a playthrough including a tutorial level and a boss battle. During this play-through, one of the main NPCs is a murder victim and another is a murderer. The player character must interact with different locations and NPCs in order to advance the story and discover the murderer. In order to get clues, the player character must find the NPCs and speak to them. They are looking for inconsistencies in their stories so they can try to figure out who would have the most reason to commit the murder. They can also find some key hidden clues by being pulled through the dreamscape into a character’s mind. Once there, they will have to battle that person's mindscape incarnation as well as several smaller enemies, nicknamed Dream Blights.

HEAVENLY SIN ITCH.IO

Heavenly Sin is now avaliable to try out on itch.io! Demos can be played on Windows and Mac OS.

LOTTADAMAGE Studios is in the process of making another public release on Steam! The team had styled to put out content in an episodic workflow, to help ease the strain of development. Currently, Heavenly Sin has released an episode of one murder case.

If development is to continue, the team would like to release content in an episodic trilogy fashion: 3 episodes will equal one full murder case. Heavenly Sin was designed with the vision of having 7 randomized murder cases to solve. In order to deliver a polished product, the team scoped down to small releases.

HEAVENLY SIN GITHUB

To see the process and the contributions each developer had made to Heavenly Sin's Unity development, as the Github repository is now public!

Heavenly Sin was designed in Unity under the free Unity Creator License, version 2021.1.19f1. SENDHELP Studios had utilized Github as our source control application.

As Heavenly Sin was a product of a mock studio game design course, the team of 14 developers comprised artists, musicians, programmers, writers, and designers. The development of this demo game was to showcase what we have learnt over our 4-year major, and to get a sense of what it's like to work under a company with it's pressures as a team.

Included in the Github repository are LOTTADAMAGE's Unity project files and documentation. For an in-depth explanation of the file structure, feel free to leave any questions or comments to one of our devs.

Throughout the 14 week sprint to make a polished game demo, LOTTADAMAGE Studios had a live schedule to keep all departments on task. As the producer of this studio, it was up to me to do daily check-ins with appointed leaders and inquiries to all developers weekly of their development status.

Color-coded and with set deadlines, the struggles and victories for the team can be seen in a visual document.
